Tracks 1-7 recorded via blemished multi-track at the Skylark Cafe in Seattle, WA 2/12/16

Tracks 8-9 recorded with a handheld stereo recording device at the Coo Coo Nest in Port Angeles, WA 12/5/14

The Skylark tracks were recorded by a very nice engineer who gave us the multi-track WAV files to mix for ourselves. Even though we paid the guy for the process of recording, three of the tracks were distorted and completely unusable. Using studio magic and a complete aversion to rules and "likes", Ben has created a broken universe of sound that closely emulates a true Granite Waves live experience. The Coo Coo Nest tracks capture Granite Waves at their very inception of sound, a mere fifth show as a new band on the gig circuit. It also features the only evidence of Ace Lightning on backup vocals on As the Clock Ticks.
